Odd/even betting

A market on whether a final number — total goals, points, or corners — comes out odd or even. It is close to a coin flip by design, which is precisely why books can price it near even money and still hold a healthy margin on a market requiring no handicapping at all.

The wrinkle most bettors miss: zero counts as even. A 0–0 soccer match settles “even,” which quietly pulls the true probabilities away from the 50/50 the market appears to offer.

Because there is no edge to find — no injury report or lineup change reliably moves whether a total lands odd — the hold is the entire story. Odd/even is entertainment, and it is priced as entertainment.
