Summary

Bankroll Guardian is operated by 1545194 B.C. LTD., a Canadian company. We collect what we need to run the Service, never sell your data, and let you export or delete it. It is an analytics tool, not a sportsbook.

What we collect

  • Account data — email, name, and authentication details (including Google sign-in if you use it).
  • Data you enter — bets, bankroll, sportsbooks, preferences, and notes.
  • Usage data — aggregate analytics (page views, referrers) to improve the Service. Cookieless traffic analytics is always on; Google Analytics cookies are used only if you accept them.

Your betting history and bankroll figures are personal financial information, and we treat them with heightened care: they are encrypted, access is restricted by row-level security, we never sell them, we never use them for advertising, and we send them to AI providers only when you request an AI insight.

How we use it

To provide and improve the Service: run your dashboard and analytics, compute Closing Line Value, generate AI insight on your data, send emails you opt into, process subscriptions, and keep the Service secure.

Service providers

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the Service, under contracts that restrict their use of your data to providing services to us: hosting and content delivery (Vercel, including cookieless Vercel Analytics), database and authentication (Supabase), payments (Stripe — we store only a customer reference and plan status, never your card details), email delivery (Resend), website analytics (Google Analytics, only with your consent), odds and sports-news data providers (who receive no personal information about you), and AI providers used to generate analysis you request (Groq; Google (Gemini); Anthropic). When you request AI insights, the relevant portions of your betting data are sent to an AI provider solely to generate that analysis; our provider agreements and settings prohibit use of your data to train their models. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Where your data is stored

We are a Canadian company, and our primary database — including your account and betting data — is hosted in Canada (Supabase, Canadian region). Some of our service providers store or process data in the United States, including hosting and content delivery (Vercel), payments (Stripe), email delivery (Resend), consented analytics (Google), and AI providers when you request an analysis. While your information is outside Canada, it is subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is held and may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, and national-security authorities there under local law. We use contractual protections and security measures (such as encryption in transit and at rest) with all providers regardless of location. If you have questions about our cross-border practices, contact our Privacy Officer at the address below.

Cookies & analytics

Essential cookies (for sign-in) are always on — they’re required for the Service to work. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) load only with your consent: on your first visit we ask whether to enable them, you can decline, and you can change your choice anytime via “Cookie preferences” in the footer. Our Vercel traffic analytics is cookieless. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Data retention

We keep your account and betting data while your account is active so the Service can work. When you delete your account, your profile and betting data are deleted promptly, and residual copies age out of encrypted backups within 30 days. We retain billing records for 7 years as required by Canadian tax law, and records of the consents and acknowledgments you give (cookies, marketing, AI notices) for as long as we rely on them to demonstrate compliance. Support correspondence and security or audit logs are kept only as long as needed for support, security, and legal purposes, and are reviewed periodically. Line-movement snapshots are pruned automatically on a rolling basis. Anonymized, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you may be kept indefinitely.

Your rights

You can access and correct your information in your profile, export your bets to CSV at any time, and delete your account (which removes your profile and betting data) from your profile settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — for example under PIPEDA or provincial privacy laws in Canada (including Québec’s private-sector privacy act), the GDPR if it applies to you, or US state privacy laws — such as rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right or ask a question, contact our Privacy Officer at support@bankrollguardian.com (subject line “Privacy”); we respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your local data protection authority. We never treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.

If something goes wrong

If we experience a breach of security safeguards involving your personal information that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you as soon as feasible, report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, and notify any other organization or authority required by law. Our notice will describe what happened, what information was involved, what we are doing about it, and steps you can take to protect yourself. We keep records of security incidents as the law requires.

Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, row-level access controls, and encrypted secret storage). No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under the legal betting age in their jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
