Bettor culture & practice

Accept all odds movement

A bet-slip setting telling the sportsbook to place your bet at whatever price is current when it processes, rather than rejecting it if the line has moved. Leaving it on guarantees the bet lands. It does not guarantee the price you saw.

Most books offer three settings: accept no changes (the bet is rejected on any move), accept improvements only (it goes through if the price gets better, is rejected if it gets worse), and accept all movement. The middle option is the one disciplined bettors use, because it removes the downside without costing you the bet when the line moves your way.

The setting matters most in exactly the situations where prices move fastest — late steam, live betting, and popular sides close to kickoff. Those are the moments a few cents of price is most likely to be taken from you, and the moments the setting is most likely to fire.

Across hundreds of bets, price is what compounds. Taking −115 when you meant to take −110 raises your break-even win rate from 52.4% to 53.5% — about a point every time it happens.
