Staking a fixed fraction — half, quarter, eighth — of the full Kelly recommendation. Because Kelly is only optimal if your probability estimates are perfect, fractioning down sharply cuts drawdowns and estimate-error damage while retaining most of the growth. Quarter-to-half Kelly is the practical standard.
